What is the BOLD UnConference?
It's not just any event - it's an extraordinary experience. Driven by its participants and focused on fostering cross-border and cross-sector collaborations, interactive workshop formats, and meaningful encounters with local innovators, the BOLD UnConference acts as an incubator for groundbreaking solutions to current and future challenges.
Hard Facts
- Date:
November 4 – 9, 2025: please plan to arrive in Vienna by 3 PM on November 4th and schedule your departure for the evening of November 9th. Full participation is mandatory, as we tour through Austria. - Locations:
- Nov 4 & 5: Vienna
- Nov 6: Salzburg
- Nov 6 & 7: Tyrol
- Nov 7 - 9: Vorarlberg - Costs:
All costs, including accommodation, travel and food, during the BOLD UnConference are covered by BOLD. However, participants are responsible for their travel and accommodation costs outside the UnConference agenda. This includes travel costs to and from Austria (e.g. flight tickets).
Additionally, while the BOLD UnConference is fully funded for transportation, accommodation, activities, and meals, please note that personal expenses and discretionary purchases are not covered by us. - Participants:
A diverse cohort of 50+ individuals hailing from various corners of the globe, meticulously curated to ensure a dynamic exchange of the most compelling topics and a rich diversity of perspectives and backgrounds. - BOLD Day:
The program will launch with an exciting public event in Vienna on November 5 - BOLD Day - welcoming 500 Austrian innovators. This dynamic day will feature inspiring talks, interactive workshops, art, music, and culinary experiences. With abundant networking opportunities, participants will shape their own agenda, fostering collaboration and mutual learning.

Individual applications only:We're excited to welcome passionate individuals ready to embark on this journey! To preserve the idynamic energy of the UnConference, applications are open to individuals only—no pairs, teams, or plus ones.

Full participation:To fully embrace the transformative experience of the UnConference, we ask that participants commit to being present for the entire event. Your full engagement will enrich both your own journey and that of the entire BOLD community.
- Content Contribution:
At an UnConference, content is co-created by its participants. We encourage you to share your expertise - whether through a demo, talk, exhibition, or art performanc - either on BOLD Day or during the following days for your fellow BOLD Minds. Please be sure to include your contribution idea in the 'Make your case' section. -
Availability is limited:With limited spaces available, applying does not automatically secure your spot. The BOLD Team will thoughtfully review each application to ensure a diverse and vibrant group of participants and inform you whether or not your application has been successful.
